Human Resource Manager

​​Fusion Recruiters, LLC, in partnership with their client, a $2 billion multi-platform diversified global industrial company with exceptional and trusted brands that serve a diverse array of global end markets, is in search of a Human Resources Manager.  The selected individual will be the Human Resource Business Partner to the General Manager. He / She will be a critical member of the business management team, work closely with the team to deliver talent and people initiatives that ensure the business success.

The HR Manager will support the full spectrum of HR services including staffing, compensation & benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, legal risk mitigation, information reporting, and management development for assigned functional teams.  This position will be responsible for strategically managing the Human Resources function, for ensuring alignment with Group, Division, and corporate goals and objectives.


This role will report to the VP of HR, with a dotted reporting line to the GM.

This role supports Associates based in Erie PA, Cary NC, and Atlanta GA. This role is based in Milwaukee, WI with travel (50%) to the other locations.

Primary Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Partner with the GM to build and develop the leadership team. Sharing feedback and coaching the team to ensure their success.
  • Work with the leadership team to build out the aligned business, and ensure the respective business has the capabilities required to deliver the strategic plan.
  • Integrate new acquisitions into the business. Lead the talent integration work.
  • Insure that parent company HR practices (Performance Ownership, Compensation, TAE etc.) are understood and followed
  • Lead consistent staffing processes and obtain talent that will have a high degree of successful performance in their new role.
  • Equip leadership with appropriate skills and tools to ensure that parent company rules and policies are administered appropriately.
  • Manage the performance process for group, train managers and associates in the process, ensure all associate objectives are tied to Divisional and Corporate strategies/AIPs and that associates understand goals, objectives and development opportunities.  
  • Ensure labor and employee relations are aligned with Total Associate Engagement objectives and action plans are in place to improve associate engagement scores on survey response.
  • Reinforce open communication channels and apply policies and practices in a fair and consistent manner in order to minimize legal risk.  Provide sounding board for all associates.
  • Utilize sound business judgment to make decisions will a full evaluation of risk and take actions to minimize the potential for negative financial and associate relations impact.
  • Consistently administer compensation program, considering internal equity and salary budget constraints.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with business leaders in key positions within supported organization.
  • Fully mentor and develop HR staff reporting to this role for future growth
  • Utilize metrics to measure success of HR initiatives on the achievement of business growth

Experience and Skill Required

  • BA/BS degree required; MS in HR or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum 7 years of progressive experience as an HR professional in generalist areas; Commercial and Merger & Acquisition experienced preferred. 
  • Experience and working knowledge of staffing, employee relations and employee development required, and an additional 3-5 years of supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
  • Must have experience aligning HR programs/structures with business needs, and the ability to work as a business partner with exceptionally strong communication, sound business judgment, negotiation, influencing, and presentation and leadership skills.
  • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where quality and speed of decision making are critical to maintaining a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated experience managing HR processes and practices for domestic and International sales groups.
  • Strong problem solving skills and business acumen also required.
